ABOUT DANA

CANADIAN ROOTS

Dana came to North Carolina, from British Columbia, Canada in 2008 to take a working student position with fellow Canadian Rebecca Howard at The Fork Stables in Norwood, North Carolina. Dana rode and groomed for Rebecca all over world including the 2011 Pan American Games and the 2012 Olympics. 

 

 

POST OLYMPICS

 In 2010, Dana accepted the position of Assistant Equestrian Director at The Fork Stables. Following the 2012 London Olympic Games, Dana returned to The Fork to continue building her competitive riding and training career and accepted the position of Equestrian Director/Resident Trainer.

COMPETING AND COACHING

Dana has successfully competed through the 4* level in eventing and was a member of the Canadian Bronze Medal team at the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru.  She now has her sights on the 2022 World Equestrian Games in Italy and the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France. She is an “A” level Pony Club graduate as well as an Equestrian Canada Level 1 Certified Coach. 

 

 

AT KINGFISHER

Dana now resides at Kingfisher Park Equestrian as their Director of Equestrian Activities. Situated on 200 rolling acres of farmland just a 40 minute drive from Charlotte, North Carolina in Mooresville, KFP offers an idyllic setting for equestrian sports with many services including boarding, training, lessons, sales, and cross country schooling. 

 


KINGFISHER PARK

Kingfisher Park is the backbone to Dana Cooke Equestrian. 

Situated on 200 rolling acres of farmland just a 40 minute drive from Charlotte, North Carolina in Mooresville, Kingfisher Park Equestrian LLC offers an idyllic setting for equestrian sports.


With 15 spacious stalls, superb turnout pastures and miles of riding trails weaving through wooded lands, across pastures and along streams, Kingfisher Park provides both the horse and rider with a tranquil environment in which to train or ride for pleasure.

The facility boasts a 175’ x 250’ riding arena featuring all weather footing, a 100’ x 150’ grass arena, a full sized dressage arena, and a cross country schooling area with multiple elements including a water jump, banks, ditches and a selection of portables. 


Such amenities make Kingfisher Park the ideal location for riders of all levels and any discipline to pursue their riding goals.
